PALMYRA--Stephen M. Rowe, Jr., 30, died peacefully December 6, 2018 at Maine Medical Center in Portland surrounded by family and friends. He was born January 31, 1988 in Waterville, a son of Stephen and Martha (Funk) Rowe, Sr. He graduated from Nokomis Regional High in 2006.
Steve worked with his father in the family garage in Palmyra and helped to start Rowe's Auto Salvage & Towing. He would help out anyone and was much loved by his friends and hospital staff. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Steve is survived by his loving wife of over 10 years, Lisa-Ann Rowe and their dog Savannah, who was his sweet baby girl, of Palmyra; his parents of Palmyra; his paternal grandmother, Carol Rowe of Hartland; 2 brothers, Nicholas and girlfriend Lindsey and their son, Landon, and Brandon all of Palmyra; and his childhood best friend, Casey Temple. He was loved by several aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Wilbur "Papa" Rowe and his maternal grandparents, Roger and Helen Cole.
Steve was loved and respected by all who knew him. His battle with Cystic Fibrosis did not define who he was. He enjoyed life to its fullest and will be missed.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday, December 16th at the old Palmyra Town Hall, U. S. Route 2, in Palmyra. Memorial donations may be made to Cystic Fibrosis, Northern New England Chapter, 4550 Montgomery Avenue, Suite 1100-N, Bethesda, MD 20814. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport.
