DEXTER - Steve Lemar, 70, passed away June 8, 2020 with his wife Jo and his mother Laura by his side. He was born September 17, 1949 in Dexter, a son of James and Laura (Ellis) Lemar, Jr. Steve graduated from Corinna Union Academy in 1967 and served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He loved fishing, hunting, snowmobiling and time at camp. He was employed as an over the road truck trucker, shipping and receiving supervisor at Guilford of Maine and retired from A. E. Robinson in Dover-Foxcroft as a transport driver hauling fuel oil and gas.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 36 years, Josephine (Martell) Lemar; step daughter Pamela Speed and fiance John Douglass; step granddaughters, Alex Ann and Erin Elise Speed; brothers Dennis Lemar and his wife Paula, and Mickeal Lemar; a sister Sandra Winslow; and several nieces and nephews.
Steve was predeceased by his father James.
