GARLAND - Mrs. Susan Lozier Grant ("Suzy"), wife of David Edward Grant ("Dave"), went to be with the Lord in her residence on December 11th, 2021. She was born in 1951 in Fort Kent to Wilfred and Lorraine Lozier. Susan grew up with her 6 siblings and lifelong friends Linda, Gail, Peggy, Wilfred ("Wil"), William ("Billy"), Robert , and Claire.
Shortly after graduating from Fort Kent Community High School Susan married the love of her life David Grant on August 7th 1971. They were married for 51 years. After marriage Suzy and Dave settled in Garland where Suzy spent most of her time volunteering for the town of Garland. Suzy loved her community and the people in it. She continued to make a difference for the Garland Rec Community program. She also served as town clerk in Garland for many years and took pride in being an elected school board member.
Suzy made a difference in every life she met. She had so much love to give that she opened her home to over 47 foster children. Giving her heart to others is what Susan loved to do the most. Everyone who met her loved talking to Suzy because she truly listened and loved others fully.
Suzy is survived by her husband of 51 years, David Grant; her children David Grant Jr. and his wife Karen, Daniel Grant (Danny), her daughter Kaitlynn Tierinni and son in law Joseph (who was like a son to her), son Joshua Grant and son Christopher Grant. Most of all Suzy loved being a grandmother to her 8 grandchildren: Jackson, Declan, Miles, Mellesse, Edward, Gabriel, Aubrie and Zoey. She is survived by her siblings Gail Baker, Peggy Brewer, Wilfred ("Wil") Lozier Jr. and Lisa, William ("Billy") Lozier and Sandy, Robert Lozier, Claire and Kevin Hale.
She leaves several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and beloved friends and family whom she loved dearly including: Betty Rioux Michaud, Jackie Lozier, Steve and Juli Kimball, George and Becky Corey, Joyce and Jerry Wolf, Janice Grant, Robert ("Bob") and Jean Grant. Suzy will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was predeceased by her parents Wilfred Joseph Lozier and Lorraine Lozier Rioux and her sister Linda Lozier Fogg.
Memorial Services will be conducted at 1 P.M. on Saturday January 8th at the Charleston Church. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Dexter.
