ETNA & CORINNA --Tanner J. Russell, Sr., 24, passed away peacefully July 3, 2021 at a Bangor hospital surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Bangor August 28, 1996 a son of Mark and Kelly (Gilmore) Russell. Tanner was always a bright and shining light and a great friend to all. He loved his family and they loved him immensely. He always worked hard to put others in need first and he was a source of strength and encouragement to all he knew. Tanner enjoyed spending time with his friends and family and loved his time spent with his sons. In his free time he loved playing video games and snacking on chicken bacon ranch pizza. Tanner is survived by his mother Kelly Lyons and stepfather Eric Lyons; father Mark Russell and companion Brenda Kimball; his children, Tanner "TJ" Russell, Jr. (age 4) and T.J.'s mother Tina Kuhn; and Liam Lawson (age 2) and Liam's mother Danielle Lawson; siblings Dustin Gilmore, Jennifer Russell, Jonathan Colcord, Brittni and Branden Rogers, and Crystal and Steven Duke; grandparents and spouses, Ken and Cheryl Gilmore, David and Arlene Lyons, and Gladys and Joe Chevery; aunts and uncles Tammy (Gilmore) Long, Stacey (Gilmore) and husband Tim Cole; Vicki and husband Michael Dodge, Delbert and wife Amanda Williamson, and Stephen Lyons; cousins Destiny Long, Deano Long, Hunter Cole and Hunter's girlfriend Madison Britton, Chayce and Anna Cole, Breanna Fine, Elaine and David Dodge, and several nieces and nephews. Tanner will be missed by numerous friends, especially his best friend Stephen J. Cook. He was predeceased by his grandmother Jane Russell and great grandmother May Gilmore. A celebration of life for Tanner will be held at the Etna Town Hall, 17 Shadow Lane, Etna, on July 25th from 1 to 4 P. M. Cremation arrangements are by Crosby & Neal.
