Sangerville
Thelma Arlene Dufault, 95, of Sangerville, Maine passed away April 3, 2026, with her five children and two of her grandchildren by her side.
She was born April 16, 1930 in Sebec, Maine to Jennie and Norman Clement. She graduated from Sangerville High School in 1949. She was honored to be a member of the last graduating class with nine Students.
Thelma was predeceased by her parents, her five sisters, and her brother. She continued to raise her five children on her own when her husband Charles Dufault passed away in 1966.
Thelma had several jobs during her life. She worked for many years at Pride Manufacturing in Guilford, Maine sorting golf tees.
Later, she worked as a Headstart cook at the Catholic Church in Sangerville. In her later years she was a Foster Grandparent at the Abbie Fowler and Mckusick Schools for SAD# 4. She ended her working career as an Assistant Librarian in Sangerville at the age of 85.
During her life she enjoyed going to bingo, reading, puzzles, and family gatherings.
Thelma is survived by her daughters Brenda and husband John French, Darlene and husband Donald Patten, Sharon and husband John Levesque, and Carol Dufault. She is also survived by one son James Dufault. She also leaves behind nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday June 13, 2026 at Riverside Cemetery. Cemetery Road Newport, Me. 04953
