NEWPORT--Thomas Ryan Witherly, 41, passed away August 9, 2010, at his home surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born August 25, 1968 in Milo, the son of Thomas and Joan (Mayo) Witherly, Sr.
Tom graduated from Foxcroft Academy, Class of 1987. He worked for more than twenty years as a lead person at Pride Manufacturing in Burnham.
Tom was a devoted husband and father who felt his greatest accomplishment was his daughter, Madison. He was a member of the Gateway Pentecostal Church in Newport. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife Geizette (Voisine) and precious 2 year old daughter, Madison Paige Witherly, both of Newport; 2 brothers, Jason and wife Laura of Glenburn and Eddie of Abbot; 2 sisters, Ruth and husband Zachary Dow of Sebec and Bridget Ramos and fiance Brian Luce of Holden; mother-in-law, Marilyn Voisine of Brewer,; step mother-in-law Julie Voisine of Lincoln; special friends, Luke Logan, Donnie Clark, Ron Chute and Shawn Parks; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents and 3 brothers, Joseph, Whitman and Ricky.
A memorial service will be held 1 P.M., Saturday, August 14th, at the Gateway Pentecostal Church, 363 Moosehead Trail, Newport, with Rev. Jacky Willhoite officiating.
A luncheon will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a college scholarship to benefit his daughter, Madison, c/o Peoples United Bank, P. O. Box 306, Newport, ME 04953.
Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport. Interment will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Dover-Foxcroft.
