Thomasina A. Blanchard

STETSON – Thomasina A. Blanchard, 89, died August 31, 2023 at a Bangor hospital. She was born September 5, 1933 in Dexter, a daughter of Thomas and Nathalie (Jock) Gilbert. She is survived by a son, George Blanchard, Jr.; 2 daughters, Judith and husband Stephen Perigo, Sr. and Sandra and husband Albert Withee, Sr.; 12 grandchildren, Anne, Stephen, Jr., Teresa, Michael, Joshua, Jason, Albert, Jr., Joanie, Warren, Thomas, Kristi and Kourtney; 13 great grandchildren.

Thomasina was predeceased by her husband, George Blanchard, Sr.; daughter, Candace Withee; sister Diane; brothers, Marshal, Merle, Milton, and Sonny.

She was full of life. Her grandkids would call her “Silly Grandma”. She was always feeding the stray cats, birds and wild animals.

A special thanks to Teresa, her granddaughter, who took loving care of her grandmother. Also a special thanks for the care at St. Joseph Hospital in Bangor.

A graveside funeral and committal service will be held at 1 P.M. Thursday, September 14th, at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal.
