SANGERVILLE - Vincent Brown, Sr., 75, husband of Carolyn Brown, went home November 30, 2018 to be with our Lord and Savior, with his family by his side. He was born in Caribou July 10, 1943, a son of Kenneth and Mabel (McLaughlin) Brown.
Vince worked for Byron Henderson for 4 years, Dexter Shoe for many years, and Dale Easler for 2 years. He then started Vince Brown and Son, with Vince Brown, Jr. from 1982 until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Carolyn (Johnson) Brown; 2 daughters, Penny and husband William Brown, Sr., Kathleen and husband Raymond Clark; and son Vincent, Jr. and wife Candy, all of Sangerville; 5 grandchildren, Brandon Clark, Tiffany Redmond and husband Tristan, Dylan Clark and girlfriend Amber Soule, Todd Brown and fiance Hannah Valz, and Vincent W. Brown; 1 step grandchild, William Brown Jr. and wife Holly; 6 great grandchildren, Keegan, Jordan, Zayden, Karalyn, John and Xzavier; 3 sisters, Gloria Ketch, Darlene Griffeth, and significant other, Ronnie, all of Woodland (Aroostook), and Pamela Goodine of Tennessee; sister in law Phyllis Brown of Woodland; and many nieces and nephews.
Vince was predeceased by his parents, a brother Freddie; 2 sisters, Alice and Lena; 1 granddaughter, Jordan Brown; 1 god son Roddy Rodrigue; 1 step granddaughter, Carlie Rae Brown.
He was a role model to everyone. He was a quiet man, but when he spoke, everyone listened.
Friends may call from 6 - 8 P.M. Tuesday at Crosby & Neal, 61 Main Street, Dexter, where funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday, December 5th, with the Rev. Barry Buzzell officiating. Burial will follow the funeral at the Brown Family Cemetery.
