Obituary

EXETER - Wallace Alvah Humphrey, 88, died February 22, 2009 at a Bangor health care facility. He was born February 26, 1920 in Clifton a son of Bernard and Lenora (Carver) Humphrey.

He served in the U. S. Army during World War II. Wallace was a former Grange member and maple syrup producer, and had retired from Eastland Woolen Mill in Corinna.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Myrtle (Crocker) Humphrey; a son, Alvah Humphrey; and a daughter, Donna Humphrey, all of Exeter; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 3 brothers, Steven, Hadley, and Carl; and a sister, Helen.

Graveside committal services will be held 10 AM Saturday, May 16th, at Corinthian Cemetery, Corinth, with the Rev. Stan Griffin officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 80 Elm Street, Portland, ME 04101.

Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal Chapel, 68 Exeter Road, Corinna.
