Wallace "Bud" Nelson Obituary (1929

NEWPORT - Wallace M. Nelson, 85, went to be with the Lord on January 23, 2015. He was born December 9, 1929 in Southborough, MA, a son of Wallace N. and Edith A. (Reynolds) Nelson. Bud was a member of the Emmanuel Bible Baptist Church in Plymouth. He is remembered as a devoted husband and father, and, as a man of quiet strength who knew life was given to be spent for others. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Geraldine; his daughters, Virginia Grant, Alice Spaulding, and Joanne Reiniger; as well as 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brothers, Alexander and Robert Nelson; and a sister, Ethel Nelson Armstrong. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, January 31st, at the Emmanuel Bible Baptist Church, with the Rev. Robert Emrich officiating. Friends may call at the church from 10 A.M. until the time of services. Spring burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery, Newport. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport.
