CORINNA -Walter I. Tuttle, Sr., 72, died unexpectedly May 6, 2020 at a Bangor hospital. He was born June 19, 1947 in Dexter, a son of Irving and Madeline (Hayden)Tuttle.
Walter was a proud American and honored his flag and country. He served in the U. S. Army and was a member of the American Legion and VFW. His passions, besides his family, were trucking all over the U. S. and Canada, "Old Trucks", and his 2005 Peterbilt.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary (McGinnis) Tuttle; son Walter "Scooter" Tuttle, Jr. and wife Valerie; daughter Donna and husband John Lisenby; grandchildren, Nikki and husband Zach, Catherine, Leah and husband Brandon; great grandchildren, Camden, Braeleigh, Madilynn, Alessandra, and Addilynn, all of Corinna; a sister Ona Chadwick and husband Kevin of Bristol; nieces, Jennifer, Brynn and Piper; nephew Chad; his dogs, Dusty (who rode many miles with him and is joining him on his final trip) his newest dog, Katey and our rescue dog Okie -short for Oklahoma, where we found him. Walt leaves behind many friends and fellow truck drivers with a "See Ya!"
Friends and relatives are invited to gather at "Scooter's" garage at 1 P. M., Saturday, May 16th, where there will be plenty of room for social distancing and a limited number of masks available, or, if you prefer, bring your own mask. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport.
