PITTSFIELD - Wilbur A. Knowles, 82, died May 18, 2020 at his residence. He was born May 1, 1938 in Pittsfield, a son of George and Shirley (Bell) Knowles. He was a life member and married his wife Nancy in the First Baptist Church of Pittsfield. While living in Florida, they were also members of the Friendship Baptist Church in Ocala, FL. He worked as a plant engineer at Eastland Woolen Mill in Corinna and retired from the C. M. Almy Company in Pittsfield. He is survived by a son, Allen and wife Wendi Knowles of Pittsfield; 2 daughters, Alisa Knowles of Hartland and Bethany Knowles of Pittsfield; 2 brothers, Dennis and wife Cyndra Knowles of Detroit and David Knowles of Levant; 2 sisters, Sylvia and husband Darryl Bubar of Texas and Linda Milligan of Canaan; 8 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Nancy. Private interment will be in the Pittsfield Village Cemetery. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport.
