DEXTER - Bill Gelzinis, 89, died December 24, 2022 at his Dexter residence. He was born January 28, 1933 in Boston, MA, a son of Peter and Mary (Barousky) Gelzinis. He attended Boston College and served in the U.S.A.F. and the Air Force Reserves. Bill worked many years for Polaroid in Boston. After moving to the Dexter area, he was a communicant of St. Anne's Church and served on its board. He also served on the Dexter Board of Appeals. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed his beagles.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Lorraine (Deprey) Gelzinis of Dexter; 2 sons Robert Gelzinis of Dexter and Scott Gelzinis of NH; 2 daughters Elin and husband Paul Pelland of NH, and Stacy Dehart of Newcastle; 4 grandsons, Bob, Matt, Mike and Glen; and a sister-in-law Joan Michaud of Fort Kent.

Bill was predeceased by his beloved aunt Bernice.

A memorial mass will be celebrated in the spring at. St. Anne's Church, 64 Free Street, Dexter. Interment will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal.
