PALMYRA--William Earl Grant, 70, died unexpectedly December 7, 2021 as the result of an automobile accident. He was born July 10, 1951 in Jacksonville, Florida, a son of Earl and Mary (Chappel) Grant. He served in the U. S. Navy. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, ice fishing, and telling stories to his friends. He spent time doing crossword puzzles, horsing around with his grandson, Channing Condon, and aggravating his wife Debbie. He enjoyed a nice cold beer after 7 P.M. and was always good for making people laugh. We will miss his kind eyes and gentle smile. Bill is survived by his wife Deborah; 2 sons, Jason Grant and Michael Grant; stepson Jason Colcord; daughter Jennifer Mayo; stepdaughter Shawnna Burrill and boyfriend Travis Bubar; a brother Gary Grant; 2 sisters Camilla Grant-Correa and Lea and husband Steve Veilleux; 10 grandchildren; and special friend Chelsea Condon. He was predeceased by his parents; and a daughter, Deanna Grant. Memorial services will be held at 1 P.M. Friday, December 17th, at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main Street, Newport, with the Rev.
