Alyssa Brugger

VP of Operations

Alyssa grew up in Gardiner, the second eldest of five kids. She attended Briarwood College for Mortuary Science; after graduating in 2009 she moved back to her hometown and served at her local funeral home for years. Taking time off, she and her husband settled in Freedom where they built their dream home and raise their two daughters. She came back to the career she loves in 2021 serving Family First Funeral Homes. In her free time she loves her pets, the beach, crafting, fishing, and spending time with family.

Argo Michael Regan

Regional Director

Argo Michael Regan has dedicated his life to serving families with compassion, professionalism, and integrity. He began his career in funeral service in 1991 at the former Crosby & Neal Funeral Home in Guilford, Maine. After graduating from mortuary college in May 1996, Argo moved to Old Town, where he joined Birmingham Funeral Home. For nearly three decades, he has had the privilege of serving the greater Old Town community, and he continues to office from the funeral home today.

In addition to serving families in Old Town, Argo is the Regional Director for Family First Funeral Homes, overseeing locations in Old Town, Newport, Dexter, Skowhegan, Farmington, Waterville, and Oakland. Throughout his career, he has remained committed to providing meaningful, personalized care while mentoring funeral professionals and supporting the communities his funeral homes serve.

Outside of funeral service, Argo enjoys spending time with his wife, Wendy, at their off-grid home in the Maine woods. Whether hiking the mountains of Maine or exploring the Rocky Mountains, relaxing on the beach, or working in his woodshop, he values the peace and balance that nature provides.

Argo is deeply committed to conservation, outdoor education, and youth mentorship. He proudly serves as a State of Maine Inland Fisheries & Wildlife Outdoor Educator, teaching Hunter Safety in both Firearms and Archery, as well as ATV, Snowmobile, and Boater Safety courses. He has also served on the Board of Directors for the Maine Youth Fish & Game Association for more than 20 years and is a Registered Maine Guide.

Whether assisting a family through one of life's most difficult moments or teaching the next generation to enjoy Maine's outdoors safely and responsibly, Argo believes in serving others with compassion, respect, and dedication.

Nikolai Blentlinger

Funeral Director Apprentice

Nikolai was raised in Corpus Christi, Texas, and moved to the Houston area in 2023 to begin his career in funeral service. While working at a funeral home in Conroe, Texas, he attended the Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service, graduating as valedictorian of his class in 2025.
Later that year, Nikolai relocated to Orono, Maine, with his partner and their three dogs. He is proud to serve families throughout the region with Family First Funeral Homes.
Based in Old Town, Nikolai also serves families in Newport and Dexter. He is dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate difficult times with compassion, professionalism, and respect. He is deeply committed to providing meaningful care and personalized service while honoring the unique lives and wishes of every family he serves.
In his free time, Nikolai enjoys spending time with his partner, hiking, reading, caring for his dogs, and exploring the beautiful state of Maine.

Lindsey Gravit

Funeral Director Apprentice

Lindsey M. Gravit was born and raised in Northeastern Pennsylvania before making her way to Downeast Maine to attend the University of Maine at Machias. While pursuing her bachelor’s degree, she focused her studies on marine biology and conducted her thesis research on jellyfish aquaculture. After graduating, Lindsey began her career in higher education, working in academic advising and teaching science courses for several years. Eventually, she felt it was time for a change and began searching for a new path.
Inspired by her favorite movie and its message to “take the leap of faith,” Lindsey made the transition into funeral service. She says that working with the families and communities of Central Maine has been one of the most rewarding experiences of her life. Based in Newport, Lindsey has had the privilege of serving families from Augusta to Passadumkeag, with Interstate 95 becoming something of a second home along the way.
Lindsey is currently pursuing her education at the Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Service and is expected to graduate in December 2026.
Outside of funeral service, Lindsey enjoys reading, writing, playing video games, caring for her pets, and attending concerts throughout the East Coast of the United States and Canada.
